Harvard Publishing Best Sellers in Information Technology

Posted on February 9, 2024 by Kathy SavageFebruary 9, 2024

We are delighted to see the case Fintech: Choosing a Cloud-Services Provider by our members Clinton Daniel and Janis Gogan highlighted by the HBS Publishing on the World Case Teaching Day in their list of Bestsellers in IT cases!

This is the case that Clinton Daniel, then-doctoral student of Janis Gogan, NACRA Past President and Fellow, presented at a NACRA conference and won a Best Student Case award at NACRA. Afterwards, this field-researched case and IM were revised and submitted to NACRA’s Case Research Journal: now we are thrilled that this is not “just” a CRJ best-seller; it’s an HBS best-seller.

It’s also an example of a case authored by a first-year doctoral student. Clinton’s DBA alma-mater is the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. Not coincidentally, this is where our 2024 conference keynote speaker, Grandon Gill, comes from (see our announcement here https://nacra.net/2024-conference-keynote-speaker-t-grandon-gill/ ).

Now on the Muma faculty, Clinton Daniel has also served as NACRA track chair for Digital Technologies and Operations https://nacra.net/conference/conference-tracks/ . He continues to write and present cases on strategic IT topics. Our big congratulations to Clinton Daniel for much deserved success!

And our sincere appreciation to Janis Gogan who has been a most active supporter of the case method and a truly inspiring mentor – we are so grateful for her dynamic role now as Chair of the NACRA Advisory Council.
